Delete your Site Control account

You can delete your Site Control account at any time, from the mobile app or the web portal. This page explains how, what happens when you do, and what is kept. If you can’t sign in, you can ask us to do it for you.

1. Delete your account in the mobile app

  1. Open the Site Control app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Enter your password and confirm.

2. Delete your account on the web

  1. Sign in at web.sitecontrol.uk.
  2. Go to Settings and open the Delete account tab.
  3. Click Delete my account.
  4. Enter your password, type delete my account to confirm, and submit.

3. What happens straight away

  • You’re signed out on every device and all of your sessions are revoked. The account can no longer be signed in to.
  • Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo are removed from your account.
  • Push-notification tokens for all of your devices are deleted, so you stop receiving notifications.
  • Your training and competence cards (such as CSCS cards) are deleted, including the card photos and card numbers.
  • You’re removed from every organisation you belong to and from every job team you were on.
  • If you own an organisation with a live subscription, that subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion. If you see any further charge afterwards, email support@sitecontrol.uk and we’ll sort it out.

4. What we keep, and why

Some records belong to the employers you worked for as much as to you. These are kept, attached to your now-anonymised account, so employers can meet their payroll and legal record-keeping obligations:

  • Check-in and check-out records.
  • Timesheets.
  • End-of-day (daily) reports.

Your name and contact details no longer appear alongside these records. Other content you added to an employer’s jobs, such as site photos, incident reports and safety sign-offs, stays part of that job’s records in the same way.

If you own an organisation, deleting your personal account does not delete the organisation’s jobs or records. To have organisation data erased as well, email us at the address below.

5. Can’t sign in? Ask us to delete it

If you can’t sign in (for example you’ve forgotten your password or the account is disabled), email us from the address registered to your account:

support@sitecontrol.uk

We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act. We’ll respond within one month, as UK GDPR requires, and the deletion does exactly what is described above.

6. Questions and data requests

To find out what we hold about you before deleting your account, or to make any other UK GDPR request, email privacy@sitecontrol.uk. Our privacy policy has more detail.
